About

Hello! I am currently a post-doctoral scholar at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and in July 2023 I will begin as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at Carleton University.

I was born in Newton Stewart in Scotland but grew up on the west coast of British Columbia where I also did my undergraduate and master's degrees at the University of Victoria. I then moved to the wonderful city of Montreal to do my PhD at McGill University where my interests grew to touch the fields of Geology, Isotope Geochemistry and Geobiology. From 2018 to 2020 I was an Agouron Institute Geobiology postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University and the Weizmann Institute of Science. From 2020-2021, I was a Zuckerman Postdoctoral Fellow housed at the Weizmann Institute of Science and Harvard University.
